Starc, MacKay, Christian, Doherty, Pattinson, Cummins . . . and they're just the newcomers. People like Siddle and Hilfenhaus, Tait and Johnson now seem like the old hands yet they're still new to the game. It's good news for Australian bowling; there's some real talent and youth there. But where are the new batting stars? Ponting and Hussey are finished; Clarke is erratic, and none of the new guys has really made an impression. The team needs a couple of Waughs at 4 and 5. Then they could aspire to another world cup.
